About Our Earthy Oak Bench Tops

Our stunning range of oak bench tops are truly bespoke and designed and hand-crafted to your requirements in-house by our timber experts. We offer a tree to product service all under roof from our timber yard and workshop in Plumpton, Green Sussex. No other 3^rd parties are involved in the manufacturing of our solid wooden furniture making us unique from our competitors. We can promise our beautiful bespoke benches will not only provide raw natural beauty but will last for decades to come.

We use our beautiful collection of full-stave, wide-stave slabs that we exclusively source from sustainable forests and woodlands across the UK. We then transport the timber and vacuum kiln dry it on-site to ensure the timber is protected against warping and natural corrosion. We then infuse the natural imperfections of the timber such as the cracks, striations and knots with epoxy resin to create stunning smooth glassy details. We offer our bespoke bench tops in a variety of different edging styles that compliment and create interest to your desired environment. We offer our live or waney edging for a more rural or rustic appeal, or a straight or square edge style for a more modern contemporary feel. Alternatively, we can offer our mixed edging for a combination of both edging styles. As our unique bench tops are completely bespoke, we guarantee they will suit all types of environments whether it be a country styled cottage in the countryside or a modern contemporary apartment.

We offer two main types of finishing which we apply after a fine sanding. We offer a colour enhancing oil which amplifies the rich organic tones and penetrates the timber creating multiple layers of protection. Alternatively, we offer a transparent lacquer which is ideal for those wishing to maintain the original earthy colourings and acts as a thick barrier against damage and corrosion.

With the right finishing, our bespoke oak bench tops are also suited to commercial projects too whether it be a rural rustic styled pub or a modern styled restaurant, coffee shop, hotel or office. Our bench tops are available to match with any of our other products, such as our oak tables, shelving, breakfast bars, kitchen islands and worktops. If two or more of our products are bought together, we can create a unique bespoke set of matching furniture for your home or business by crafting them from the same tree.

As each bench top is hand-crafted from scratch, we estimate that each project will take around 1 month to complete. This enables us to ensure your product(s) are of the highest possible quality giving you promise of a bespoke high-quality commissioned piece of solid wood furniture. Once the product is finished it is then available to be delivered by our dedicated delivery service. Alternatively, you may choose to collect from our workshop. We are highly accessible and are located just a short drive from London and Brighton.
