About Our Oak Bar Tops

Our stunning and unique oak bar tops are designed and hand-crafted in-house from our timber yard and workshop in Plumpton Green, Sussex just a short drive from London and Brighton. Our beautiful and bespoke oak bar tops are suitable for all bars, pubs, restaurants and homes. We guarantee our solid wooden bar tops will last for decades to come as well as bringing a unique sense of earthy charm and character to your desired environment.

We use gorgeous rustic oak slabs that we source exclusively from sustainable forests and woodlands across the UK. We then vacuum kiln dry them on-site to ensure maximum longevity and protection against warping and distortion. We then hand pick each full stave, wide stave plank for its natural features, such as its markings, cracks, striations and knots. Once we’ve picked each plank, we then infuse these natural imperfections with epoxy resin to create stunning glassy surfaces inspired by nature. Our beautiful and unique bar tops are available with a variety of different edging styles each with their own characteristics. For a more rural and rustic appeal, we can offer our distinctive live/ waney edging which follows the natural shape of the tree. We also offer our straight/ square edging for a more modern contemporary appeal. Alternatively, we can offer our mixed edging for a combination of both edging styles.

We provide two main options for finishing our stunning oak bar tops, either a water-based oil which enhances the natural colours and textures to reveal brilliant oranges and golds. This protects the timber by penetrating the layers to create multiple infusions of protective layers throughout. Alternatively, for those seeking to maintain the original earthy textures and autumnal tones, we can finish your unique bar top with a clear transparent lacquer, which works to protect your solid wooden surface by providing a thick barrier over the top.

We can also craft your stunning rustic oak bar top alongside any of our other products such as our restaurant oak tables, shelving, stools and window sills and if two or more of our products are bought together, we can create these from the same tree to make a unique bespoke set of matching furniture for your home or business.

Generally, we estimate each of our bar tops to take around 1 month. This time frame allows us to ensure each of our bar tops are crafted to the highest possible quality. This is also because we provide a unique service over our competitors, our surfaces are designed, kiln dried and crafted all under one roof. Once your bespoke wooden bar top is complete, it will be ready for dedicated delivery, or alternatively for collection from our workshop.
