About Our Walnut River Desks

Our beautiful bespoke wild walnut river desks are hand-crafted in-house from our timber yard and workshop in Plumpton Green, Sussex just a short drive from London and Brighton. We adore our wild walnut timber with its earthy grains and deep autumnal tones and colourings.

We craft our stunning wild walnut desks using two live edged wild walnut slabs set apart and centrally infused with epoxy resin to create the unique glassy river effect. We exclusively source our full stave, wide stave slabs from sustainable forests and woodlands across the UK, we then vacuum kiln dry the planks on site to ensure stability and long-lasting durability. We hand pick each slab individually looking for its most beautiful natural features, such as the knots, cracks and striations, which we then infuse these with our own blend of epoxy resin. Our stunning walnut desks are available with three different edging styles that each create a unique sense of style. For a more rural and rustic approach, we can incorporate our waney or live edging, or for a more modern and contemporary feel, we can include our straight or square edging. Alternatively, we can include our mixed edging which is a combination of both straight and live.

We offer several different leg styles in several different materials types, from wooden T shaped to stainless steel U shaped. Our legs are highly recommended over many on the market. This is because unlike many our legs are individually crafted to support the exact weight and size of your earthy wild walnut desk.

Our unique wild walnut desks are suitable for all environments whether it be a rural home in the countryside or a modern and contemporary apartment. With the right finishing choices, we can easily craft your gorgeous walnut desk for commercial spaces too such as office spaces, coworking spaces and hotels. We offer two finishing options that aid and protect your solid wooden surface. Either a clear transparent lacquer which acts as a thick shield against damage, or a colour enhancing oil finish which penetrates the timber to create multiple layers of protection.
