About Our Walnut Slab Tops

Our beautiful bespoke earthy wild walnut slabs are crafted in-house by our timber experts and are suitable options for crafting earthy wild walnut dining tables, coffee tables, kitchen worktops, islands and breakfast bars and more. Each stunning wild walnut slab is available to buy raw or as a finished piece for any purpose. We also craft our walnut slabs to any shape or size with a variety of different stylistic choices.

We exclusively source each singular slab from sustainable woodlands and forests across the UK and vacuum kiln dry the timber onsite to ensure stability and protection against warping and disfigurement. We hand pick each individual solid wooden slab for its unique features, such as its knots crack and striations, we then infuse these with epoxy resin to create glassy details giving a real nature-inspired look to your walnut slab. We can also provide each walnut slab without resin enhancement if you so wish.

Like with all our solid wooden furniture, we can craft our wild walnut slabs with any of our edging styles. For a more natural and organic appeal, we can offer our waney or live edging which follow the natural shape of the tree, or a more for a more modern and contemporary approach, we can offer the traditional straight or square edging. Alternatively, we can offer our mixed edging which combines elements of both edging styles.

We can provide our earthy walnut solid wooden slabs raw and unfinished if you prefer to finish it yourself, or we can finish it for you. We offer our slabs with two main finishing options for you to choose from. We can offer our oil finish which perforates the timber to create multiple protective layers throughout, or our lacquer finishing which instead, creates a thick barrier against damage and corrosion. Our oil finishing also enhances the natural tones and colourings to create brilliant shades of oranges and golds whereas our lacquer finishing is more ideal for those seeking to maintain the original earthy colourings.

Our earthy walnut slabs take around on month to craft and finish, this is because unlike many of our competitors, we do everything ourselves from designing to kiln drying to hand crafting. We also like to ensure each of our custom solid wooden furniture products are rafted to the highest quality. Once it is complete, we will then arrange with you an appoint for either collection from our workshop or for dedicated delivery.
